Lopes-Schliep Eases into Hurdles Finals
 Former Husker Priscilla Lopes-Schliep posted the top time in the semifinals of the women's 100 meter hurdles on Friday at the Canadian Olympic Trials with a clocking of 13.23. A national champion during her collegiate running days at Nebraska, Lopes-Schliep leads the field into Saturday's finals after she and Angela Whyte (13.31) were the only two competitors to run under 13.5 at the University of Windsor track.
Former Huskers Advance in Eugene
 Former Nebraska track and field athletes Dusty Jonas, Anne Shadle, Melissa (Price) Myerscough, Ann Gaffigan and Jeni Steiner all competed at the US Olympic Trials on Thursday night in Eugene, Ore. Jonas, Shadle and Myerscough all moved one step closer to Beijing, China, while Gaffigan and Steiner's seasons came to a close.
Wolkins Spears Spot in Canadian Javelin Finals
 Adam Wolkins, a 2009 Nebraska track and field signee, has advanced to the finals of the men's javelin at the Canadian Olympic Trials. With a toss of 215-1 (65.57), Wolkins finished third in the preliminaries. He will now compete in the finals at 3 p.m. (Central) on Saturday, July 5.
Lucky and Ganz Named to 2008 Award Watch Lists
 Following record-setting junior seasons, senior I-back Marlon Lucky and senior quarterback Joe Ganz have been named to watch lists for prestigious college football awards. Lucky has been named to the 2008 Maxwell Award watch list, which is given annually to the nation's top player by the Maxwell Football Club. Ganz has been named to the watch list for the Jonny Unitas Golden Arm Award, given to the nation's top senior quarterback.
New Nebraska JV Football Team Kids Club Introduced
 The Nebraska Athletic Department is proud to introduce the Nebraska JV Football Team – the official kids club of the Husker football team. This new club is a fun way for kids to be involved with the football program and share in their collegiate athletic and academic careers.
